You can delete your Ling Snake account and all associated data at any time. This page explains how — both from inside the app and, if you no longer have the app installed, by request.
1. Delete your account from inside the app (fastest)
If you still have Ling Snake installed, this is the quickest and most complete option, and it works the same whether you signed in with Apple or Google:
- Open Ling Snake and make sure you are signed in.
- Go to Profile → Delete Account.
- Confirm when prompted.
Your account is then permanently removed from our servers, along with the data described in Section 3. This is an immediate, irreversible deletion — not a temporary deactivation.
2. Request deletion without the app
If you have already uninstalled Ling Snake, you can still request deletion of your account and data. Email contact@lingsnake.com with the subject “Account Deletion Request.”
- Send the email from the address associated with your account, or include your in-app account ID (shown on your Profile screen as LSNK-XXXX-XXXX), so we can verify ownership.
- We verify that the request comes from the account owner before deleting anything, to protect you from someone else deleting your account.
- Once verified, we erase your account and associated data within 30 days, and confirm by email when it is done.
3. What gets deleted
Deleting your account removes the data we hold for you, including:
- Your account record and email address;
- Your Apple or Google sign-in connection and any associated authentication tokens;
- Your synced progress — game stats, decks, study history, EXP/level, daily activity, and settings;
- Your subscription entitlement record on our servers.
3.1 What may be retained
A limited set of records is kept where the law requires it or where it is outside our control:
- Purchase / tax records tied to a completed subscription may be retained where required by law. We do not control, and cannot delete, the purchase data Apple and Google keep under their own policies.
- Subscription cancellation is separate. Deleting your account does not cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription. To stop billing, cancel it in your Apple ID subscriptions or Google Play subscriptions before or after deleting your account.
- De-identified records that no longer identify you (for example, aggregate or anonymized analytics) may be retained.
